The Honor V30 will be a flagship that can challenge even the Mate 30. Some promo photos of the device have surfaced on Weibo, showing a square camera on the back reminiscent of the Mate 20. The rear camera on the back is more interesting, the main sensor is said to be 60MP. Not 64MP, indicating that this is a sensor we haven't seen yet (it's similar to the Huawei flagships, which use 40MP instead of 48MP sensors like the rest of the industry). The Honor V30 Pro will have a bigger battery with faster charging to boot 4,200mAh and 40W SuperCharge in addition to 15W wireless charging. The V30 will get 4,000mAh and 22.5W SuperCharge instead, no wireless charging.
The mini laptop is powered by a 7-watt, 14nm quad-core processor with a base CPU speed of 1 GHz and a max turbo speed of 4 GHz. It's unclear what that will mean in terms of a real-world performance boost over previous-gen mini-laptops which typically topped out at 5 watt Intel Core i7-8500Y dual-core chips with 1.5 GHz and 4.2 GHz boost speeds.
The Note 10 Plus's bezels are smaller than nearly any phone Samsung has ever produced. Instead of putting the camera cutout in the top right corner though, Samsung has moved the camera cutout to the top center. I like this design because it doesn't feel like it gets in the way of your content. I was already happy with the Infinity-O display in the S10 series, but this cutout is even smaller. This does come at the expense of a smaller camera aperture compared to the Note 9 ? another indication that Samsung was obsessive about making this device beautiful. Front-facing camera shots still look great though, so this is a fine trade-off for me.
Now that Intel's new Ice Lake processor feature Gen11 graphics with a significant performance boost over the company's earlier integrated GPUs, perhaps the company sees less demand. Or maybe PC makers and consumers who would have been the target market for these have decided they're better served by devices with Intel chips and separate AMD or NVIDIA graphics.
